Prof. Rob MacDougall speaking at the 2012 Graduate Conference.

The History Department offers a wide variety of seminar series, annual lectures, events and conferences. Each fall, the Goodman Lecture features a distinguished historian who delivers three lectures in the history of the Atlantic World. Another annual lecture, the Talman Series focuses on Ontario history. Our own graduate students present their research in the McCaffrey Series, and faculty from Western and other universities give talks in the Departmental Series once a month. The Public History Professional Development series offers Public History students the chance to meet and network with practicing public historians, listen to guest lectures, and participate in hands-on workshops. Faculty are also involved in the Middle East and North Africa Research Group Seminars, an interdisciplinary series.

All students and faculty are welcome.
