Making History: Challenging the Past
A Student Conference hosted by the Department of History
November 11 & 12, 2011
The Department of History and the History Society of the University of Western Ontario are hosting a Student Conference: “Making History: Challenging the Past”. The conference will offer talented senior undergraduate and MA students from across Ontario, Canada and the United States, the opportunity to present and discuss a course paper, undergraduate thesis, or MA paper on topics that examine the construction and interpretation of the past. We welcome papers that correspond to the History Department’s strengths, either by region – Canada, the United States, Europe, Latin America and Asia – or theme – environmental, international, political, military, women, medicine, technology, and business. This is an ideal opportunity to familiarize yourselves with the Department of History at Western, learn about the undergraduate and graduate programs, and meet prospective supervisors and colleagues.
