Migration and Ethnic Relations

The Collaborative Graduate Program in Migration and Ethnic Relations at the University of Western Ontario brings together graduate students and faculty to study questions of migration, ethnic relations, cultural diversity, conflict, acculturation and integration of migrants from the perspective of various social science disciplines. Participating departments include Anthropology, Geography, History, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology. For more information click here.

NiCHE

NiCHE: Network in Canadian History & Environment / Nouvelle initiative canadienne en histoire de l'environnement is a confederation of some 400 historians, geographers, and other researchers from across Canada and around the world who study relationships between nature and humans in the past.  In 2007, it was named a SSHRC Strategic Knowledge Cluster, to be funded until 2014.  NiCHE is under the direction of UWO History's Profs. Alan MacEachern and William J. Turkel, and as such provides extensive networking and some funding opportunities for graduate students in the department. For more information, click here.
