HIS 2127F (001): In Search of Canada: Postwar to Present
History 2127F/G examines selected social themes arising in and influencing Canadians since 1945. Among the topics are economic evolutions, rights questions (Women, First Nations and others), regionalism, the search for a Canadian culture, scientific-technological "progress" and more. Lectures, discussion and texts will, hopefully, generate greater awareness of Canada’s recent past while enhancing critical thinking and communication skills.
