HIS 2182B: Social History of Women in Canada

Course Description

A survey of Canadian Women's History from first European contact to the 1960s, with a focus on the realities of women's lived experience through biography.

Required Texts

All the readings in this course, with the exception of on-line sources can be found in a custom course book Social History of Women in Canada available for purchase through the campus bookstore. Some additional readings will be posted in PDF format on the class webpage.

Evaluation

Students may choose between two methods of evaluation:

First Evaluation Method:
