Pre-1800 and World History Requirements

To complete most history modules* students must complete two kinds of breadth requirements: chronological and geographical.  At least 1.0 senior level course must deal exclusively with the period before 1800; this can be taken as one full year course or two half courses.  Our courses are organized into four geographical categories: Canada, United States, Europe, and world (meaning the countries and regions beyond North America and Europe).  Below are lists of courses that fulfil the pre-1800 and world requirements.  Note that these are courses from the permanent calendar: they will not necessarily be offered every year.  In addition, special topics courses can also fulfill these requirements: a list is attached below.
