Convocation is the most important ceremony of your academic career, an opportunity to celebrate your years as a Western undergraduate and the opening of the next phase of your life. Even though we are unable to hold the usual events this year, we can still celebrate with you - through the wonder of modern technology!
We asked members of the Department of History to write an inspirational poem, consisting of 20 syllables, with the last word rhyming with "history." We distributed the poems and asked Faculty members to record a random poem.
Watch the video above and try to figure out which faculty member wrote each poem.
Hint: each professor in the video wrote at least one poem.
When you think you've matched up the Faculty member and the poem, send your answers to Rebecca Northcott, email@example.com for your chance to win a Department of History Prize Pack!
- Answers must be submitted by July 30, 2020
- Each correct match, Professor and poem, equals one draw. The more you correctly match, the better chance you have to win!
- Students and alumni are eligible to win
Two winners will be randomly drawn, one from the 2020 graduating class, and one from all submissions.
