Research and Specialization

Professor Iarocci's research interests encompass twentieth-century warfare, military transportation and procurement, and more generally, the material culture of modern conflict.

Major Research Projects

Professor Iarocci is undertaking a long-term study of military transportation during the First World War, with emphasis on the new roles played by motor vehicles in the forward area. The study also concerns procurement, driver training, automobile culture in the overseas forces, and specialist vehicles.
