HIST 2140 Women in Canadian History: Changing Roles and Diverse Societal Realities

Research Interest/Specialization:

Professor Gardner’s specialization is in Canadian and United States history in the twentieth century with expertise in the fields of Black Histories in North America and Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Histories. Dr. Gardner has completed SSHRC funded research projects about African American youth activism in Lawnside, New Jersey, and women journalists in the 1930s and World War II.
