Professor Spanner's research interests include Archival Studies, Reference Services and Outreach Development, Conservation and Preservation Management and Ontario History
Professional Experience
Professor Spanner specializes in archives, having worked as a professional archivist in the corporate and public sector. He has taught archival studies in both the US and Canada. His research interests include film censorship in Ontario, namely the workings of the Ontario Censor Board during the interwar years, as well as the Pelmanist movement.
