HIST 2630G: Africa: An Introduction
This course explores Africa’s deep past on its own terms—before colonial definitions. Students were tasked with creating accessible posters introducing five major African civilizations: Afrasian, Batwa, Khoesan, Niger-Congo, and Nilo-Saharan.
Each team selected three key historical contributions to Africa and humanity.
HIST 3870F: Uncolonized Global Histories
This course centers Indigenous worldviews and resilience beyond colonial frameworks. Students created posters exploring the revival of cultural practices once thought lost, highlighting the strength of memory, spirit, and resistance.
